Kaitūruki Whānau Support - Registered Clinician

Fixed Term - 40 hours per week

Waiora Hinengaro, the Vocations, Mental Health and Addiction Services is implementing an exciting new service, Te Toronga Whānau. You will work to increase support, knowledge and resilience of whānau affected by drug use with a focus on reducing the impact of drugs like methamphetamine. Your practice will be based on whānau ora with hui and wānanga forming an important part of your role.


The ideal applicant will have a passion for the health and wellbeing of people, be committed to providing the best possible work with whānau and work very well with others in a team. Your communication must be effective with all people in all settings and you must feel comfortable with facilitating groups.


Other requirements are to have a registration covered by dapaanz, the Health Practitioner’s Competence Assurance Act 2003 or the Social Workers’ Registration Act 2019, be computer literate, and have a full drivers license as some of the work is across the rohe.


The position is full time for 2 years, Monday to Friday with minimal work out side these hours.
