Tāpuhi (Registered Nurse) - Waiora Hinengaro

Permanent - 40 hours per week (Negotiable)

Waiora Hinengaro, the Vocations, Mental Health and Addiction Services, has a vacancy for a registered nurse who will  oversee the recovery and wellness journeys of tangata whai ora with mental health and alcohol and other drug issues. The work will  include nurturing the fundamental values of Tikanga Māori as well as being clinically sound.

 

The ideal applicant will have a passion for the health and wellbeing of Iwi, be committed to providing the best possible care and work very well with others. Understanding the application of whare tapa wha in your practice as well as the ability to mentor and teach support workers  is an important part of the role.

 

Your communication must be effective with all people in all settings. Other requirements are to have a NZ Practicing Certificate that allows you to work in a mental health setting, be computer literate, and have a full drivers license.  Some of the work maybe across the rohe.

 

The role is up to full time, Monday to Friday.
