Tāpuhi (Registered Nurse) - Waiora Hinengaro

Permanent - 40 hours per week

Waiora Hinengaro (Vocations, Mental Health and Addiction Services) has a vacancy for a tāpuhi to work with tamariki and rangatahi from 7 to 17 years. These tamariki and rangatahi along with their whānau are experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse problems that are interrupting their potential life course.

 

The ideal applicant will have a passion for the health and wellbeing of Iwi, be committed to providing the best possible care and work very well with others. Understanding the application of whare tapa whā in your mahi as well as the knowledge of stages of development, mental health nurse practice and community options are also important to the role. 

 

Your communication must be effective with all people in all settings. Other requirements are to have a NZ Practicing Certificate that allows you to work in a mental health setting, be computer literate, and have a full drivers license.
