Te Oranganui Trust is an iwi organisation established in 1993 to improve access and service delivery of health services to Māori in the wider Whanganui region. Over time the roles and functions of the organisation have grown and the organisation now delivers a wide range of health and social services to all people throughout the Whanganui and neighbouring regions.
Our services include, Vocations, Mental Health & Addictions, Disability Support, Whānau & Community health and wellbeing, Family Start & Tamariki Ora.

As our Service Administrator, you’re the face of Te Oranganui’s main office reception to whānau and manuhiri who visit. You’ll also help ensure that business unit runs smoothly and efficiently by delivering a high-quality administration support service to the wider team and Business Manager. While your role will be the primary person greeting visitors at reception, you’ll also support the wider team of finance, payroll and support-service professionals, including data-entry, working in Xero, and some database-related mahi. You’ll also be super organised and have fantastic attention to detail.
This role is covered by the government’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate for the health and disabilities sector. This means that it is a requirement that this role is undertaken by a fully vaccinated person (or a person who holds a valid exemption issued by the Director-General of Health).
What you’ll bring to the role
They key part of this role is your experience in administration, but more importantly a love for people and our kaupapa. In addition, we are looking for someone who has:
Excellent administration and support skill and experience
Minimum typing speed of 50+ words per minute with high accuracy
Demonstrated organisational and planning ability for the successful completion of work
Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Work, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint
Excellent minute taking skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
