COVID-19: Community Based Assessment Centres


COMMUNITY BASED ASSESSMENT CENTER AT TE ORANGANUI


The Community Based Assessment Centre (CBAC) at Te Oranganui has now been activated. Access to this CBAC is as follows:





The CBAC can be accessed by all those enrolled with Te Oranganui services. The CBAC will be in operation Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 5pm The CBAC is located in the Wicksteed Street carpark of the Te Oranganui Campus Whānau who require an assessment must remain in your car in the Wicksteed Street carpark where you will be assessed. You will be directed accordingly based on your assessment.


SHOULD I GET ASSESSED? 📌 If you have returned to New Zealand from overseas in the last 14 days 📌 If you have flu like symptoms, fever, sore throat, cough 📌 Have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for Coronavirus

WAVERLEY COMMUNITY BASED ASSESSMENT CENTRE

Following the recently confirmed COVID-19 cases in Waverley, the Whanganui DHB in conjunction with Te Oranganui will be establishing a Community Based Assessment Centre (CBAC) in Waverley. Access to this CBAC is as follows:


The CBAC can be accessed by all those in the Waverley community. The CBAC will be in operation Monday – Wednesday from 10am - 4pm The CBAC is located at the Te Oranganui Medical Centre on Hussey Street, Waverley Whānau who require an assessment must remain in your car where you will be assessed. You will be directed accordingly based on your assessment.


If whānau are unwell, have flu like symptoms; 🔴 cough 🔴 sore throat 🔴 shortness of breath 🔴 believe they have come into contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19

➡️ contact the Health line 0800358 5453 if you can’t get through contact your GP. They will provide guidance on whether assessment or testing is needed. ➡️ It is important that only those directed to seek assessment visit the centre to avoid delays. ➡️ Please be prepared to wait at the centre and do not get out of your car and follow directions provided by the staff

‼️ You will be greeted by staff in full personal protection gear, you will be asked a series of questions and have your temperature taken. ‼️ It is important for whanau to understand that attending the centre does not automatically mean they will be swabbed for COVID-19. ‼️ For more information about COVID-19, visit the website
