Kaitūruki Whānau Resilience
Fixed Term - 40 hours per week

Toiora Whānau Services are looking for an energetic, full time Kaitūruki to join our team to deliver Whakapakari Ora services in Raetihi/Ohakune. The successful applicant will be supported by the Whānau Ora team and work collaboratively with the Whanganui and Taihape based Kaitūruki to build whānau resilience.  You may be based in Whanganui or the Waimarino rohe and will have strong community connections or direct links to Raetihi.

 

As a Kaitūruki for the Waimarino area you will be working with our whānau to maximise their health and wellbeing and live free from family harm. 

Whakapakari Ora Kaitūruki will work across five pou;

  • Strengthening cultural identity and whakapapa

  • Strengthen social capability and community connection

  • Support behaviour change for people using violence

  • Support trauma healing and recovery from violence

  • Create healthy relationships and skills

Our ideal applicant will:

  • hold a Diploma in Family Harm or be willing to attain one

  • have the ability to motivate, educate and facilitate change with whānau

  • have strong community and iwi connections to the Ruapehu District

  • is able to work well within an integrated team as well as independently where required

  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
