Te Oranganui is an iwi led organisation that was established in 1993 to improve access and service delivery of health services to Māori in the Whanganui region. Over time the roles and functions have grown and the organisation now delivers a range of health and social services throughout the region to Māori and non-Māori Whānau.
Waiora Hinengaro (Vocations, Mental Health and Addiction Services) has a vacancy for a support worker who will work with people with disabilities in the Vocation Service. You will need to role model joining in and trying new things as well as looking out for people’s safety.
We need you to follow our values of tika, pono, whānau and mahitahi as well as have an understanding of the different abilities people have. The ideal applicant will have a passion about providing the best possible care and will also need to be creative, observant and a very clear communicator.
The role is for 13 hours a week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and you must have a full drivers license and be willing to drive a van.
