Te Oranganui is a health and social service based in Whanganui and offers a wide range of services to people in the Whanganui and neighbouring regions. We are seeking a Health Improvement Practitioner to join our general practice - Te Waipuna, to be available to see our patient population whose thoughts, feelings or behaviours are impacting on their health and wellbeing. They will be delivering focused brief interventions to individuals (of all ages), whānau and groups, and provide rapid access to evidence based brief interventions - helping people make changes to enhance their health and wellbeing.
If successful, you will receive the required training and an ongoing package of support and mentoring as these new exciting roles are established.
The positions are fixed term commencing May 2020, with a view to grow the number of health improvement practitioners over time into all of our general practice teams.
