Kaitūruki - Mental Health Support Worker
Permanent - 37.5 hours per week

Te Oranganui is an iwi led organisation that was established in 1993 to improve access and service delivery of health services to Māori in the Whanganui region. Over time the roles and functions have grown and the organisation now delivers a range of health and social services throughout the region to Māori and non-Māori Whānau.
Waiora Hinengaro, the Vocations, Mental Health and Addiction Services, has a vacancy for a mental health support worker who will support the recovery and wellness journeys of tangata whai ora and ensure the work of the service nurtures the fundamental values of Tikanga Māori. You will support the different groups and activities the service provides.
The ideal applicant will have a passion for the health and wellbeing of Iwi, be committed to providing the best possible care and work very well with others. Understanding the application of whare tapa whā in your work as well as the ability to work creatively is an important part of the role.
Your communication must be effective with all people in all settings. Other requirements are to have a NZQA Level 4 Certificate in mental health or equivalent, be computer literate, and have a full drivers license.
The role is 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday.
