Kaitūruki He Puna Ora (Non-Clinical)
Fixed Term Position
Applications close: 5pm, 18th May 2022
Waiora Hinengaro (Mental Health and Addiction Services) has an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about working in a kaupapa Māori holistic approach to wellbeing. He Puna Ora is a pregnancy and parenting service using a variety of kaupapa Māori approaches for engagement, therapy and connections grounded in our own mātauranga and pūrakau.
The purpose of this service is to provide an intensive outreach coordination service for hapū māmā and whānau of tamariki up to 3 years of age who are experiencing problems with alcohol and other drugs and are poorly connected to health and social services.
Do you have a strong sense of social justice and would you like to make a difference in the lives of māmā, pēpi and whānau who do not have strong relationships with services in the community?
Would you like to be an integral part of an innovative service for Whanganui, Ruapehu and Rangitikei?
Do you enjoy a challenge and want to be part of a team working with māmā, pēpi and whānau who have complex needs and are currently exposed to AOD and who find it difficult engaging with clinical services for support?
The ideal person for this position must be innovative, creative, and be experienced in mātauranga Māori.
You will be working one-on-one with māmā and their whānau, as well as facilitating wānanga.
If you have the attributes, skills, experience and desire, apply for this opportunity today.
