Te Oranganui is a health and social service provider based in Whanganui and offers a wide range of services to all people within the Whanganui and neighboring regions. Free services available include Mental Health & Addictions, Disability Support, Whānau & Community and Healthy Families. Te Oranganui Medical Centre and its associated services such as Tamariki Ora, Rural Community Nurse and the Quit Smoking clinic are also available.

We have an excellent and rare opportunity for you to play a key role in leading Healthy Families Whanganui, Rangitīkei, Ruapehu.

 

Healthy Families NZ is a large-scale initiative that brings together community leadership in a united effort for better health.   It's about thinking bigger, activating leadership at all levels, and driving innovation to create health promoting environments where we spend our time; from our schools and workplaces, to sports clubs, marae and other community settings.  The Whanganui Rangitīkei Ruapehu (WRR) rohe is one of 10 Healthy Families NZ locations throughout the country with a combined potential to impact the lives of over a million New Zealanders. Te Oranganui has been contracted by the Ministry of Health to lead the Healthy Families NZ kaupapa within the Whanganui, Rangitīkei, Ruapehu District since 2014.

 

We are looking for someone who can think outside the box and deliver results in a sometimes chaotic and ever changing environment. Most importantly, you will be a proven leader, be comfortable working in the grey, and an outstanding relationship builder who can achieve positive disruption whilst holding genuine relationships.
