Te Oranganui is a health and social service provider based in Whanganui and offers a wide range of services to all people within the Whanganui and neighboring regions. Free services available include Mental Health & Addictions, Disability Support, Whānau & Community and Healthy Families. Te Oranganui Medical Centre and its associated services such as Tamariki Ora, Rural Community Nurse and the Quit Smoking clinic are also available. 

Te Oranganui Vocation Service for people with disabilities has a part time vacancy to work in the Vocation team on a Thursday and Friday from 10am to 2.30pm each day.


The ideal applicant will have a passion for health and wellbeing, be committed to providing the best possible care and work very well with others. You will understand the nature and rights of people with disabilities and have experience in providing personal cares. You will need to work with tangata whai ora goals in a innovative and creative way.


The tangata whai ora have asked for someone who is “kind, caring, supportive, bubbly and will join in the activities”.


A service requirement is to have a full driver's license and be confident to drive a van along side understanding the importance of confidentiality and consistency of approach.
