Te Oranganui was established in 1993 to improve access and delivery of health services to Māori and the Whanganui community.  Te Oranganui seeks to achieve Whānau Ora, an approach that works beyond treatment to sustained wellness for whānau, hapū , iwi and the wider community. 

 

We are seeking a permanent full time Registered Nurse Team Leader to lead and work within the practice nursing team, ensuring a high quality of nursing service is provided across the Whanganui and Waverley Clinics.  The successful candidate will maintain safe working relationships within both medical centres, ensure the flow of both medical centres are tidy and continuous, identify any potential improvements, ensure Service Health Targets are maintained with nursing team input and be accountable for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of safe and appropriate patient/client centred nursing care.​

You will;

  • have a minimum of 5 years post registration experience

  • have completed a post-graduate diploma or equivalent

  • be Cervical Smear certified

  • be Immunisation certified

  • be CPR Trained

  • have Practice Nurse and or Community Nursing experience

  • have a can do attitude with excellent communication skills

  • have a passion for working with whanau in our community
