Te Oranganui is an iwi led organisation that was established in 1993 to improve access and service delivery of health services to Māori in the Whanganui region. Over time the roles and functions have grown and the organisation now delivers a range of health and social services throughout the region to Māori and non-Māori Whānau.
Te Oranganui Mental Health and Addictions Service has a vacancy for a registered nurse who will oversee the recovery and wellness journeys of tangata whai ora and ensure the work of the service nurtures the fundamental values of Tikanga Māori as well as being clinically sound.
The ideal applicant will have a passion for the health and wellbeing of Iwi, be committed to providing the best possible care and work very well with others. Understanding the application of whare tapa wha in your practice as well as the ability to mentor and teach support workers is an important part of the role.
Your communication must be effective with all people in all settings. Other requirements are to have a NZ Practicing Certificate that allows you to work in a mental health setting, be computer literate, and have a full driver's license. Some of the work maybe across the rohe.
