Te Oranganui is a health and social service provider based in Whanganui and offers a wide range of services to all people within the Whanganui and neighboring regions. Free services available include Mental Health & Addictions, Disability Support, Whānau & Community and Healthy Families.  Te Oranganui Medical Centre and its associated services such as Tamariki Ora, Rural Community Nurse and the Quit Smoking clinic are also available.

Te Oranganui Mental Health and Addictions Service has a fixed term vacancy for a registered nurse who will oversee the recovery and wellness journeys of Tangata Whai Ora and ensure the work of the service nurtures the fundamental values of Tikanga Māori as well as being clinically sound.

The ideal applicant will have a passion for health and wellbeing, be committed to providing the best possible care and work well with others. Understanding the application of whare tapa wha in your practice as well as the ability to mentor and teach support workers is an important part of the role.

Your method of communication must be effective with all people in all settings. Other requirements include having a NZ Practicing Certificate that allows you to work in a mental health setting, be computer literate and have a full driver's license. Some of the work maybe across the region.
