Primary Mental Health Clinician (Rangatahi)
Permanent - 40 hours per week

Te Oranganui is a health and social service provider based in Whanganui and offers a wide range of services to all people within the Whanganui and neighboring regions. Free services available include Mental Health & Addictions, Disability Support, Whānau & Community and Healthy Families. Te Oranganui Medical Centre and its associated services such as Tamariki Ora, Rural Community Nurse and the Quit Smoking clinic are also available


Te Oranganui Mental Health and Addictions Services has a vacancy for working with rangatahi. You will work the age group 12-19 with rangatahi experiencing mild to moderate mental health and substance use problems. Using a youth centered approach and at the same time supporting and educating whānau you will use screening, brief interventions, group and case work and ensure access and matching of services. This role has an early intervention focus.


Your communication will be effective with people in all settings, you must be able to work in a team, be computer literate and have a full driver's license.  


Your registration must be with a professional body covered by the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, the Social Workers’ Registration Act 2019 or be a Registered Practitioner with dapaanz.
