Te Oranganui is an iwi led organisation that was established in 1993 to improve access and service delivery of health services to Māori in the Whanganui region.  Over time the roles and functions have grown and the organisation now delivers a range of health and social services throughout the region to Māori and non-Māori Whānau.  Te Oranganui is leading out the Whānau Ora approach in the region.  This approach works beyond treatment to sustained wellness for whānau, hapū, iwi and the wider community. 

Te Oranganui has a vacancy in its Whānau Ora team for a Kaitūruki Whānau Ora working with our rangatahi. The purpose of the role is to connect rangatahi up with opportunities, pathways and tools that develop their full potential and support them on their journey towards achieving their dreams and aspirations. This role will work to identify opportunities, support to access and navigate avenues to address needs, enhance and consolidate strengths and empower rangatahi to become leaders in whānau, hapū and iwi and the wider community.

The successful applicant must have the following;

·         ​Health qualification (Level 7 or higher) or other relevant field;

·         At least 2+ years’ experience in a role working closely with rangatahi and whānau;

·         Established network base within the Health, Social & Disability sector;
