Te Waipuna offers the Diabetes service to patients in the Nga Rauru, Ngati Apa, Waimarino, Ngati Rangi, Otaihape, Waiouru and the Whanganui region.

The Diabetes Coordinator offers support, education, facilitation and health promotion to clients throughout the region.

Every Thursday from 9.30am – 1pm a clinic is held in the Te Waipuna office (by appointment only).  

This service is not specific to Te Waipuna clients and referrals can be received from internal and external agencies. When accepting a new referral, appointments for the first month is made weekly following that the two monthly and six monthly visits are arranged however, these appointments are dependent on the need of the client.
